Anyone may ride the SMC Commuter route, but Santa Monica College Students/Staff may ride at no cost upon presentation of a valid SMC ID card. Big Blue Bus fares apply to anyone who cannot present a valid SMC ID card.
SMC Students/Staff riding at no cost will not receive a transfer to use for connecting with another bus line. To transfer to another bus line, SMC Students/Staff will be required to pay full fare upon boarding the second bus.
The SMC Commuter route connects to Line 13 at Pico and Westwood (Westside Pavilion). SMC Students/Staff riding the SMC Commuter at no cost who want to continue riding beyond Pico and Westwood will be required to pay the full fare for Line 13 at Pico and Westwood.
